Beatrice Agyemang has a distinguished career in the media that spans over two decades. By dint of selflessness, hands-on approach, modesty, inspirational and empathetic leadership, Beatrice has worked tirelessly to centre the Media General brand in the hearts and minds of both domestic and international audiences.

Beatrice carved a niche for herself by painstaking learning the tropes of news reporting, anchoring, and news analysis and current affairs, and built her capacity through training programs and internships with global media giants including BBC, CNN, VOA, Sky TV.

She anchored TV3’s flagship Evening News bulletin, reported on international conferences such as the African Union (AU) Summit in Ethiopia (2010), the ECOWAS summit in Togo (2009), and a United Nations Conference on Trade and Development – UNCTAD (2008).

As the producer for Business Time, Headlines and Hot Issues on TV3, Beatrice foregrounded in-depth reporting to demand accountability and responsiveness from policy makers in functional necessities including human security, trade, women empowerment, equitable distribution of national resources, and infrastructural development. Her high-profile interviewees are Ex-Liberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, Ex-Ghana Presidents John Kufuor and John Mahama.

Beatrice was appointed Managing News Editor (2013-2016), and built a formidable team that won many local and international awards, making TV3 news and current affairs analysis programmes vital cogs in influencing the course of public discourses.

In November 2016, Beatrice took on the onerous responsibility as the Chief Operating Officer for TV3. Beatrice became very instrumental in restructuring the company in 2017, drawing on her ability to mobilize and inspire both junior and senior colleagues to strategically position Media General as a key actor in the media landscape.

After the Group was restructured, she assumed the position of General Manager of MGTV, and was in charge of TV3 and Onua TV. Due to her dexterity, Beatrice Agyemang also doubled as the Head of MG Digital, a subsidiary of the Media General Group, for at least a year.

From June to December 2017, Beatrice was Acting General Manager for MG Radio, which comprises 3FM 92.7 and Onua FM 95.1 in Accra, Connect FM 97.1 in Takoradi and Akoma FM 87.9 in Kumasi.

In September 2018, Beatrice Agyemang was appointed the Group Chief Executive Officer of the Media General, which comprises nine (9) subsidiaries (radio, television, digital platforms) dotted in the Greater Accra, Ashanti and Western regions. Working with a team of committed staff, Beatrice has provided strategic direction that has culminated in Media General’s status as the most viewed media channel in Ghana since 2019.

In September 2020, she was selected as the commencement keynote speaker during the congregation of the University of Professional Studies (UPSA), a leading institution for skills training and capacity building in human resource, leadership and management.

She has received several awards and led the Media General to win many laurels, including the Outstanding Broadcast Media CEO of the year in the 2021 Ghana Entrepreneur & Corporate Executive Awards. Prior to that, she was awarded at Glitz Africa's Ghana Women of the Year Honours, winning the Excellence in Media Category.

Beatrice has certificates in Growth Strategies and Women in Leadership –Harvard Extension School (2020), Strategic Management, South Africa – Africa Training Institute (ATI) (2019), Leadership based on John Maxwell Principles- Centre for Transformational Leadership Africa (CTL) (2019), Governance and Business Performance (2019).

She is a Deutsche Welle, trained journalist, and holds both Bachelor and Master’s Degrees from the GIMPA Business School, Accra, Ghana.
